Simple Steps to Detox

You can help to ease your body’s toxic burden with some simple steps of detox that can be carried out every day :

  1. Drink lots of water
    Drink at least several liters of water a day to flush your system the natural way
  2. Maintain a healthy diet
    Have as much as possible of fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, beans, nuts and seeds. Eat plenty of garlic, onions, turmeric, ginger, cabbage, dark greens and sulphur foods. The optimal diet avoids all food additives: all hydrogenated oils, fried foods, sugar, flour and processed food, as well as caffeine, alcohol, and non-essential drugs. Healthy diet makes your detox more effective.
  3. Fast
    Consider fasting one day per week, or three or four days in a row during the month. An alternative approach is to eat only nuts and fruits, or raw vegetable for several days. Anyone with health problems such as diabetes or who is pregnant should consult a physician first before doing detox.
  4. Exercise
    Exercise to the point of perspiration as often as possible at least for 15 to 30 minutes, three times a week.
  5. Brush your skin
    Many toxic substances are eliminated through the skin. Eliminate these toxin is one of detox purposes. Lightly brushing your skin with a dry brush helps to stimulate blood and lymphatic circulation and remove dead cells to promote elimination. Use a soft bristle brush and start at your feet, brushing towards the heart to follow the flow of lymphatic fluid. Brush from your fingertips up towards your shoulders, again towards the heart. Use small strokes and gentle pressure. Avoid the facial area and areas of skin irritation. Incorporate dry skin brushing into your routine before showering or bathing.
  6. Contrast shower
    Contrast shower is one of effective ways of detox The contrast between hot and cold water increases circulation, promotes detoxification and strengthens the immune system. This helps bring nutrients, oxygen and immune cells to damaged and stressed tissues, and carries away metabolic waste, inflammatory by products and other toxins. Start with three minutes of hot water, followed by less than one minute of cold water. Repeat this pattern at least once, always finishing with cold water.
